Lyostat2 has been designed to be compatible with most models of microscope from Olympus, Nikon, Leica and Zeiss, making it a more cost-effective and flexible option
An new optical imaging station is now available with the Lyostat2 freeze-drying microscope.
In standard upright microscopes, the objective lens is very close to the sample, making loading and unloading awkward.
With the new imaging station, the viewing optics are mounted in a hinged arm that tilts out of the way, giving unrestricted access to the sample.
Two standard microscope objectives can be fitted to the arm, and switching between them is quick and easy.
A long working distance condenser with 10x phase ring and polariser is mounted above an adjustable diaphragm in the base.
The optical imaging station also includes 1000W halogen bulb light source and power supply with variable light intensity adjustment, all in a small footprint.
Existing compound microscopes can be used if one is available.
The Lyostat2 comes with a colour Qicam digital camera as standard, offering 1.4m pixels in 12-bit digital output.
The real-time digital video and measurement system allows capture of up to 80GB of information, with gallery images easily compressed into various picture or movie formats.
Each Lyostat2 is supplied fully validated against published eutectic or collapse temperatures for a range of standard solutions.
The Lyostat2 freeze drying microscope is available from Biopharma Technology.
