Uniscan Instruments has announced the introduction of new hardware and software options for the M370 scanning electrochemical workstation.
The scanning vibrating electrode technique (SVET) operates with a non-intrusive scanning, vibrating probe measuring and mapping the electric field generated in a plane above the surface of an electrochemically active sample.
The SVP370 can now be supplied with the PG580R potentiostat option to allow the user to perform localised measurements while controlling the potential or current applied to the sample surface.
The PG580R potentiostat is controlled by the M370 software, which can be purchased with all the routine electrochemistry experiments (EChem370) and corrosion techniques (ECorr370).
Options to upgrade the electrochemistry software packages for the scanning electron microscope module (SECM370) and the scanning droplet system (SDS370) are also available.
The latest versions of the Echem370 and Ecorr370 software packages allow the user to easily construct protocols for long-term testing of samples.
An auto-sequencing routine facilitates the chaining of experiment types and procedures that have repeated or time-delayed parameters.
The latest version of Echem370 features a comprehensive Peak Analysis routine, which can treat data from single-cycle, multi-cycle and multi-channel experiments.
The software allows the user to select a peak to analyse, and provides tools to easily manipulate the baseline and the data included in the analysis.
The peak analysis facility is available in all the standard research electrochemistry experiments.
