Eppendorf small volume tubes are designed for sample preparation ranging from 0.5 to 2.0ml whereas its medium range is designed for sampling up to 5.0ml.
With medium sample volumes users may face an issue: they need to be processed with large conical screw cap tubes which can be impractical, inconvenient and are often prone to contamination. Eppendorf now offers the Eppendorf Tube 5.0ml.
The tubed system features ergonomic single-hand operation and its hinged lid design allows for minimal sample evaporation during storage and incubation in a wide range of temperatures from -86 °C to 80 °C.
The tubes are made from transparent polypropylene, free of plasticisers, biocides or mold release agents, which are designed to give reliable test results.
