Mint T1140 is a Phase 2+ radio frequency test system based on Mint E1121, a base station emulator with baseband fading capabilities, reducing the amount of equipment needed and improving performance
Centro de Tecnologia de las Comunicaciones (Cetecom) has just launched its newest platform for conformance testing, Mint T1140-2G, a technological evolution of the well-known Mint family of test systems, and the first RF conformance test system covering all of GCF defined test cases for E-GPRS (chapters 13.17.x and 14.18.x of 51.010).
Mint T1140 is a Phase 2+ radio frequency test system based on the self-developed Cetecom signalling unit Mint E1121, a very powerful base station emulator which includes baseband fading capabilities, thus reducing the amount of equipment needed in the system and improving the overall performance.
Mint E1121 hardware is capable of supporting more than 4+4 slots in E-GPRS mode, providing a clear evolution path to Mint users and a powerful tool for leading handset manufacturers.
Mint T1140-2G is a quad-band simulator covering GSM, GPRS, E-GPRS, AMR and Darp conformance test cases for both GCF and PTCRB certification schemes, and can be easily upgraded to cover UMTS test cases.
The system is also very modular, allowing different configurations to meet every testing need, not only conformance, but also R+D.
Andres Moreno, telecoms director at Cetecom Spain, commented: "After a couple of years in the market with our highly recognised Mint system now we have been able to launch the most powerful, modular and complete system for 2G testing.
"Having developed our own signalling unit with baseband fading capabilities will allow us to support features not covered at the moment by any other supplier and make Mint the reference platform in this market.
"Industry has been expecting this product for some time and finally is here".
