DayMark Safety Systems, a supplier of food safety labels, announces its entry into the personal safety industry with the introduction of several new product offerings
Personal safety in the workplace has always been important, but its significance has increased over the years due to the growing number of workplace injuries that occur annually.
According to a survey on occupational injuries and illnesses conducted by the US Department of Labor, 4.3 million nonfatal injuries and illnesses were reported in the workplace in 2004.
Of that figure, 2.7 million, or 68 percent, occurred in service industries alone.
DayMark will be expanding its product line this year to include more than 50 new items - many of them in the personal safety category.
Now customers will have their choice of the widest selection of food safety labels and personal safety items such as Osha-compliant first aid cabinets, protective gloves and aprons, pan handle covers and more.
"Our number one priority at DayMark has always been to provide the best safety products and services for our customers," says Jeff Palmer, general manager and vice president of DayMark Safety Systems.
"With our new line of personal safety items, we're simply building on that tradition so that when customers think safety, they think DayMark".
To help minimise workplace injuries, DayMark provides a first aid cabinet stocked with Osha compliant products.
In addition, those customers enrolled in DayMark's Easy Refill System will receive updates on Osha regulatory changes that impact first aid requirements in the workplace.
First aid cabinet.
The patented first aid cabinet is stocked with Osha compliant first aid products for those accidents that typically occur in the foodservice industry such as, burns, cuts, sticks and common workplace injuries:.
American Medical Association (AMA) first aid guidebook.
Antiseptic wipes.
Butterfly wound closure bandages.
First aid burn cream and antibiotic ointment.
First aid tape.
The cabinet is simple to install and mount to the wall for easy access.
And, its durable high impact structure won't rust or dent like metal first aid kits.
Easy refill first aid monitoring programme.
DayMark's first aid programme allows users to tailor first aid products to their particular needs.
So, operators can replenish those items that are most pertinent to the safety of their business without spending extra on unnecessary high priced items.
DayMark's at-a-glance Easy Refill System also helps operators know when it's time to restock.
When users reach the end of a specific product there is a message printed on the first aid item reminding operators to reorder, as well as a product number for easy reference.
In addition, DayMark's customer service team will also contact operators to remind them about refilling an order, so there is even less chance of running out of an important first aid item.
Ordering refills can be done by phone, fax, mail or online.
Snap-in refill boxes make restocking items even easier and keep products well organised.
DayMark's first aid programme is truly the total safety system for your operation.
