Bohlin Instruments has acquired the rheology product lines of Rosand Precision, bringing the Flowmaster series of capillary rheometers to the group
Bohlin Instruments, the world leader in rheological test equipment, has acquired the rheology product lines of Rosand Precision, together with the Rosand trademark.
The acquisition brings the acclaimed Flowmaster series of capillary rheometers to the Bohlin Group.
The range comprises the Flowmaster RH7, the most powerful rheometer available (100kN load capability) and provides shear and extensional rheological characterisation of materials in the pharmaceutical, polymers, food and ceramics industries.
Options include melt strength, comparative PVT and die swell.
The RH7 is now complemented by the Flowmaster RH2000 series of bench top rheometers, which is designed to bring the benefits of capillary rheology into the QC Laboratory, resulting in improvements in product development, material processability, and quality control.
Both systems are equipped with Windows 95, 98 and NT4 software and are available with preventative maintenance agreements and extensive training packages.
Bohlin Group's managing director, Richard Hall said: "The Rosand product lines are entirely complementary to Bohlin's ongoing business activity which is focused on rotational rheometers.
Indeed, the Rosand product line has contributed significantly to our German revenues since we started to act as a distributor in 1996.
The move serves to reinforce our position as a major global player in the rheology business."
