Olympus Life and Material Science Europa - Diagnostics, has announced the opening of a purpose built Worldwide Immunoassay Training Centre in advance of the launch of the new AU3000i system in June
The new Training Centre is located in Hamburg and features a combination of lecture rooms, laboratories and equipment suites.
Occupying nearly 700 square meters, it is also ISO 13485 certified.
In charge of the Centre is Andreas Kremser (manager technical customer support) who sees the new investment as crucial to the successful launch of the AU3000i.
"One of the main factors behind Olympus's strong reputation in clinical chemistry has been the excellent levels of training and service we have offered".
"This investment will ensure we can build a similar name in immunoassay".
"For example, we have decided to have a wet lab with permission for serum work to assist customers faster and more efficiently with any troubleshooting and validation queries".
"At the other end of the spectrum, we will be set up to demonstrate how our new dataWizard management software can integrate the AU3000i with our existing AU clinical chemistry and OLA laboratory automation systems." As well as being the worldwide training centre for the AU3000i, the facility will fulfil a number of other purposes as Andreas Kremser continues: "Olympus has expanded in Europe at a rapid pace in the last few years, opening subsidiaries in many of the new EU member states".
"We will use the Centre to train our expanding team of European service engineers in these countries and also provide training facilities for our German customers".
"The Centre will be installed with all clinical chemistry systems (AU400, AU640, AU2700, AU5400) and the AU3000i along with several OLA 2500 systems, an Au-Connector, the PK7300 and HITE systems".
"Finally the facilities are of such a high standard we have also decided to use them as a European VIP Demo Centre."
