When packing and storing gas-generating liquids, particularly hazardous chemicals for end-users and in the medical sector, the 'Membrane Cap' reduces the risk of overpressure or vacuum
Schott is launching a new screw cap for Duran laboratory bottles.
A sealed-in PTFE foil at the centre of the blue 'Membrane Cap' allows for extremely fast pressure compensation between the bottle contents and the environment.
It is gas permeable, both for low as well as for high presure, but at the same time liquid tight.
When packing and storing gas-generating liquids, particularly hazardous chemicals for end-users and in the medical sector, the 'Membrane Cap' reduces the risk of overpressure or vacuum.
These properties also simplify autoclaving (up to 140C) as the Membrane Cap can be screwed tightly and fixed onto the Duran laboratory bottle.
