Eight-digit batch code shown on Duran laboratory glass bottles allows the bottles to be retraced to the point of production, including the matching batch
Schott is the world's first manufacturer of laboratory glass to introduce the 'Retrace Code'.
This eight-digit batch code shown on Duran laboratory glass bottles allows the bottles to be retraced to the point of production, including the matching batch.
Increasing requirements and standards regarding quality assurance of production and laboratory processes, as well as the retraceability of packaging and auxiliary materials are becoming more and more significant.
In order to meet these standards, Schott has developed the 'Retrace Code'.
It provides a continuous record within their quality management system and is therefore particularly significant for the areas of medicine, the pharmaceutical and food industries.
By means of the 'Retrace Code' the end-user can easily, conveniently and at any time retrieve a batch and quality certificate via the internet.
As well as the production date, the certificate also provides information on standards and USP/EP conformity.
All Duran laboratory glass bottles are now marked with the 'Retrace Code', thus contributing to a better quality of work in laboratories.
