The GaGe Octopus family of multi-channel digitisers is based on a modular concept which allows users to custom-build their own digitisers according to their specific needs
The new digitisers offer from two to eight digitising channels, 12- or 14-bit resolution, 10 to 125MS/s sampling per channel, and 256Mbyte to 4Gbyte of on-board acquisition memory per channel - all in a single-slot PCI card.
This represents a significant improvement over any other digitiser available on the market today.
The modular nature of the Octopus digitisers means that users pay for only for the features that they need rather than unnecessarily paying for a 'one size fits all' digitiser solution.
The cost per channel starts at less than £1500.
Optionally available on any of the Octopus digitisers are GaGe's new eXpert advanced on-board FPGA technologies, providing functions that include finite impulse response filtering, signal averaging, peak detection and FFT (Fast Fourier Transform).
As a result, users can perform 'on the fly' data analysis and greatly increase the speed of data processing.
The Octopus family is fully compatible with GageScope oscilloscope software, which allows users to acquire and analyse signals without writing a single line of programming code.
GaGe also offers software development kits (SDKs) in C/C#, Matlab, Labview, and LabWindows/CVI for users that want to create their own custom applications.
GaGe Applied Technologies is a worldwide leader in design and manufacture of high-performance PC-based digitiser and oscilloscope cards.
GaGe products are available in the UK exclusively from TTi.
