Premier to offer Bio-Rad's Hemoglobin A1c instruments and products exclusively to over 1500 member hospitals in the USA
Bio-Rad Laboratories has signed a multi-year agreement in which Premier, one of the largest group purchasing organisations in the United States, has agreed to a three-year sole-source contract for Bio-Rad Laboratories' diabetes monitoring instruments and products.
The contract gives Premier member hospitals and health care systems preferred pricing on Bio-Rad's comprehensive menu of Hemoglobin A1c instruments and diabetes testing solutions.
Bio-Rad's product offering in the Hemoglobin A1c category includes the Variant II, Variant II Turbo, D-10 and Micromat II instruments.
"This agreement provides Premier members with access to the industry's 'gold standard' in Hemoglobin A1c testing, resulting in optimal disease management and contributing to the quality of healthcare," said vice president and group manager of Bio-Rad's clinical diagnostics group John Goetz.
"We look forward to strengthening our relationship with Premier and providing enhanced value to their members."
