Carl Zeiss MicroImaging and Carl Zeiss SMT host an open house to commemorate the grand opening of their product demonstration showroom located at corporate headquarters in Thornwood, NY
In celebration of this special occasion, the companies invited local college and high school science department chairpersons, local customers, and members of the press to attend.
The schedule of events will include an all day open house tour of the product showroom.
Technical staff will be on hand to demonstrate the equipment and answer questions.
Products on display include the AxioImager M1, Stereo Discover V.12, and an Axiovert 200M, Axiovert 40 CFL, LSM 510 Meta Live, and the LSM Pascal.
Alison North, director of the Bio-Imaging Research Center and research assistant professor from Rockefeller University spoke on the topic of an optical slice of Rockefeller science.
A raffle for school representatives gave chance to win a new Zeiss Primo Star microscope, $500 donation to their school's scholarship fund, $250 donation to their school's Science Club, or a pair of Zeiss Diafun binoculars.
