Cellexus Biosystems has relocated its headquarters near to the biotechnology centre of Cambridge, UK, where it will scale-up its sales and production operations
Cellexus Biosystems has chosen to base its headquarters in the new Hereward Innovation Centre in March, Cambridgeshire.
The Hereward Innovation Centre, founded by Barry Muncaster, is designed to support the expansion of fast growing early stage companies, with suites of high quality offices, laboratories, production, storage and clean area facilities.
Cellexus Biosystems is the first company to relocate to the Hereward Innovation Centre.
Commenting on the reasons for moving to the centre, Dr Auton (CEO of Cellexus Biosystems) said "The Hereward Innovation Centre is unique in this area as it has office, laboratory and production space.
"Coupled with highly flexible easy-in, easy-out terms, it means that we can occupy what is essentially incubator space where there is also room for production and further expansion.
"It is almost impossible to find this degree of flexibility within other facilities and under these terms in the Cambridgeshire area.
"The challenge facing early-stage companies is that there is the choice of only small offices in an innovation centre with no production space, or large units with long leases.
"In either case, you know that what you need now will not be appropriate in 12-24 months and you have to relocate again and again.
"The Hereward Innovation Centre has the advantages of the fully serviced incubator on an all inclusive basis plus the additional space and facilities to house production and future expansion.
"As and when we need more space, it is available to us."
