Contract analytical services company Melbourn Scientific will be inviting delegates to take a virtual tour of its new laboratories on its stand at Pabord
An interactive walkthrough will be used to guide visitors through the expanded range of services available from the company.
Business development director Mark Hammond comments that the latest technology is also incorporated into the facility: "Increasingly our work is coming from outside of the UK and we are focusing on providing online access to data wherever possible.
"The virtual walkthrough is a further aid to communication as it helps clients to visualise how the project teams work".
The company has more than doubled its capacity with the purchase of new facility, which has been ergonomically designed to include a large open plan area with multi-function workstations.
The novel design provides the functionality and flexibility required by project teams.
At Melbourn there is a focus on teamwork as analytical and quality assurance groups work in parallel throughout a project to ensure every stage is carried out in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
There are also dedicated areas for services such as HPLC and dissolution testing, and space to expand capacity in resource intensive areas such stability storage and testing.
Melbourn was established 15 years ago to provide contract analytical services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare industries, and it has grown steadily and organically ever since.
It offers a wide range of services including method development, validation and transfer, stability studies and pharmacopoeial testing.
The company also offers analysis of more complex delivery systems such as inhaled products and transdermal patches.
As before, the facility is cGMP and GLP compliant and will be inspected by the FDA, and the UK MHRA.
