The new Yokogawa busXplorer-USB is a compact USB 2.0 compliance test solution based on the company's DL9240/9240L family of high-performance digital oscilloscopes
Consisting of a USB compliance test fixture and test software, the new product takes advantage of the oscilloscopes' wide variety of trigger and analysis functions to offer a system for carrying out highly automated USB compliance tests.
It is designed for use with a probe such as the wide bandwidth PDB2000 differential probe, wide bandwidth PBA2500 active probe, or 701933 current probe.
In addition to facilitating execution of the various tests from a PC via an Ethernet connection, the test software displays detailed test procedures including the wiring method, allowing it to be used by inexperienced operators.
busXplorer-USB is ideally suited to compliance testing in the development phase by allowing execution of specific tests and repeated test execution.
It also features a variety of convenient functions for carrying out tests on the USB physical layer and on interfaces and connected devices, making it very useful as a USB interface hardware development support tool during the engineering stages.
If initial test results indicate problems, detailed analyses of signal waveforms and management of test results can be performed by using the system in conjunction with Yokogawa's Xviewer waveform analysis tool.
The DL9240/9240L are the highest-performance models in Yokogawa's SignalXplorer DL9000 Series of digital oscilloscopes, and feature an enhanced waveform accumulation function that allows up to 450 million digitised points to be acquired and displayed every second.
The four-channel instruments measure only 350x200x178mm and weigh only 6.5kg.
Bandwidth is 1.5GHz and maximum sampling rate is 10GS/s.
The DL9240 has 2.5M of memory on each channel and the DL9240L has 6.25M on each channel.
