ABgene, provider of molecular biology reagents, plastic consumables and instrumentation, says that the new automated plate sealing machine, the next generation Alps 3000 is now commercially available
ABgene says it has been at the forefront of innovative heat sealing techniques for life sciences for over a decade, and the latest addition to the automated laboratory plate sealer range will impact the future of high throughput plate sealing.
For long term storage in liquid nitrogen or in environments where sample evaporation is a concern, heat sealing offers the optimal solution.
The Alps 3000 features a ten plate per minute cycle time for sealing plates, offering operators very rapid sealing performance.
New touch screen controls and step-by-step guidance makes using the Alps 3000 incredibly simple, it says.
Diagnostic sensors prevent the heating of the sealing plate to reduce potential sample damage, as well as stopping the forward progression of the plate sealing carrier.
All of these performance improvements have been incorporated into a unit with a 50% smaller footprint than the Alps 300 TM, further improving convenience.
In addition to its size, improved roll positioning enables seal loading from above, making the Alps 3000 ideal for integration into automation platforms.
Naturally, the Alps range is compatible with ABgene's extensive range of plastic consumables, foils and adhesive films.
