The land located on Stokesley Industrial Park will house an environmentally friendly building with capacity for 90 employees
Work has started on the new head quarters of Analox Sensor Technology .
Analox says it is keen to maintain the environmental theme and wants to ensure that the new HQ has a low carbon footprint and causes minimal environmental impact.
An innovative heat pump system will be used to extract heat out of the car park during cold weather.
Solar panels will be used to supplement the heat pump and feed heat into the building's underfloor heating system.
In the summer the heat pumps work in reverse and heat is pumped from the building into the carpark.
Mark Lewis, managing director, says of the new building: "Analox has a clear vision of expansion and growth.
"Building a new HQ is an integral part of this plan.
"Our current building is 700m2 and we are rapidly running out of space.
"The new HQ with 1500m2 will give us the room we need to expand.
"2006 has been a terrific year for Analox with us celebrating our 25th anniversary and winning the North East Export Awards, we are all looking forward to the future".
A local firm of builders, Simpson and Hill, is due to complete the work in the summer of 2007.
