Available from 10-120 watts in both air-cooled and water-cooled configurations, the new CO2 lasers are designed for easy integration into most OEM systems and manufacturing lines
Thanks to its collaboration with Universal Laser Systems (USA), BFi Optilas announces a new range of RoHS compliant CO2 lasers.
The new lasers are available with a variety of innovative options including a visible pointing laser that is coaxial with the main beam, an integrated turning mirror, a TTL temperature warning output that guards against overheating, and a fault indicator LED with pinouts for remote diagnostics.
Class IV versions are also available in air- cooled and water-cooled configurations with key switch and shutter safety interlocks for research facilities and universities.
According to Kevin Finn, Universal's industrial laser account manager: "Our OEM lasers are ideal for bolt-on integration and feature a new low profile thermal resistant front mounting plate that can be mounted in any orientation".
Finn adds: "Our CO2 lasers offer the benefits of compact size, stable power output, long operating life, and the lowest recharge cost in the industry".
Universal's CO2 lasers feature built-in RF power supplies and are manufactured with patented free space gas slab laser technology for excellent beam quality in both the near and far fields.
The lasers are RF-excited with an internal tickle and built-in interlock and can be operated from CW to their maximum modulation frequency.
The OEM lasers ship with a two-year standard warranty on materials, workmanship, and rated output power.
Universal's CO2 lasers have been installed in thousands of flatbed, roll-feed, multi-axis, robotic-arm, and other custom systems applications worldwide.
Universal has been awarded multiple patents for innovative laser technology by the US Patent Office.
Universal Laser Systems and BFi Optilas offer extensive engineering assistance to help customers with integration into OEM equipment, as well as a generous laser evaluation program.
