Scientific and Chemical has been awarded a two year contract by Milk Link, a UK integrated dairy businesses, to supply laboratory and analytical requirements for its entire UK operation
The Cheese Company, part of Milk Link, is also encompassed within the contract.
The contract, estimated to be worth around £300 - £400,000 a year, will encompass a wide range of specialist equipment to be supplied to sites around the UK including Taw Valley in Devon; Staplemead in Somerset; Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire; Malpas in Cheshire; Oswestry in Shropshire and Lockerbie in Scotland.
Milk Link manufactures a wide range of dairy products including long life milk, creams, extended shelf life products, flavoured milks, custards, milk powders, soft cheeses, cultured ingredients supplying all the UK's major food retailers, many of its largest food processors and food service organisations.
The Cheese Company, the UK's largest cheese manufacturer, produces over 20 varieties of cheddar, blue stilton and British regional cheeses for the retail, food service and ingredients sector.
It is also the UK's leading supplier of dairy products to the catering sector through its brand, Bladen.
The company is as renowned for the quality of its cheese as for the breadth of its range.
In September, it scooped 32 awards at the renowned Frome Cheese Show, including 14 first prizes, while at this year's Nantwich International Cheese Show, the company walked away with 36 awards including eight gold medals.
So far this year the company has received over 150 awards for its cheese.

Scientific and Chemical, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2007, claims to be the largest UK independent supplier of laboratory equipment and chemicals to schools, higher education, research and industry.
It operates a dedicated e-commerce website, and has four strategically located branches in the UK and Ireland in addition to its central distribution hub at Bilston in the West Midlands.
