Photonic Products, the UK optoelectronics device manufacturer and laser diode specialist, recently acquired by StockerYale, announces the appointment of Tony Wright as director of sales
"Tony's appointment will strengthen the sales team and help consolidate and build upon the successful growth that the company has witnessed to date and enable us to take full advantage of the opportunities arising as a result of being part of StockerYale" said Tony Pope, managing director of Photonic Products.
"Since Photonic Products now has access to StockerYale's resources to further drive new product introductions, we expect to benefit from numerous cross-selling opportunities with each other's customers and to access StockerYale's distribution channels throughout the world," he added.
Tony Wright brings with him more than 25 years experience in the optics / photonics industry.
Having graduated with a BSc in applied physics, he initially worked as a hands-on sales engineer in the manufacture of holographic diffraction gratings, before moving into sales management and has subsequently held senior sales positions with both Melles Griot and Linos Photonics.
Over the last five years, Photonic Products's revenues have grown at a compound annual growth rate of 32% in response to worldwide customer demand for its laser diodes, laser modules and optical components and, more recently, the company has invested in CNC manufacturing technology to increase production capacity and improve overall productivity.
