Frost and Sullivan will host its annual Excellence in Chemicals awards banquet on Tuesday 12 December 2006, at the Le Meridien Piccadilly Hotel in London
Thirteen awards including business development strategy award, technology innovation award, market leadership award and product innovation of the year award will be presented to companies from the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Finland.
Daniela Lauer, European practice director chemicals, materials and food, Frost and Sullivan, will deliver the welcome address.
"One of the main aims of Frost and Sullivan is to acknowledge outstanding industry achievements and demonstration of best practices by presenting awards to top companies in regional and global markets", says Lauer.
"Our industry experts recognise the diligence and innovation required to implement a successful business plan and excel in the increasingly competitive global marketplace".
Following this will be the keynote speech by Brian Balmer, programme manager of Frost and Sullivan's chemicals, materials and foods practice.
Balmer's presentation: 'Review of 2006: A year in the chemical industry' will focus on the latest trends, innovations and challenges that have shaped the chemicals industry over the course of this year.
The evening will culminate in an awards ceremony, which will recognise exceptional performances in the chemicals, materials and foods industries.
Among the companies being honoured at the awards banquet are Surpresta, Exatec, Merck Eprova, Dow Corning, and Cognis Deutschland.
