From October 2006 every product in the Nickel-Electro range has been coated with an Interpon anti-bacterial (AB) paint finish, identified with an authenticating logo
This anti-bacterial paint finish inhibits the growth of bacteria.
It has been tested by independent specialist test houses such as the Law Laboratories (in the UK) using internationally recognised test methods and proven to be effective versus a wide range of bacteria species including Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
In a busy laboratory environment, this new paint finish effectively limits everyday bacteria transfer from operator to equipment and then on to other operators.
This is one less source of contamination, contributing to essential clean working practices.
Clifton water baths are commonly used in haematology departments, where the coating's effectiveness against MRSA will be especially beneficial.
Melvin Dickson, managing director of Nickel-Electro says: "We are all very excited about introducing anti-bacterial coating to the Clifton range.
"Ensuring the minimum of bacterial contamination is now more important than ever, and the coating will protect all our equipment against micro-organisms for the life of the product".
All products in the Clifton range come with a three year warranty.
