Scott Specialty Gases reports that its electronic materials group was selected by Analog Devices to receive its Supplier Excellence Award of 2006 for supplying 'critical indirect material'
Throughout 2006 Scott supplied Analog Devices with many types of electronics grade specialty gases, including hydrogen bromide, halocarbons, boron trichloride, argon, nitric oxide, silane and many others.
Liam McCaffrey, manager of purchasing, worldwide manufacturing and chairman, Analog Devices's purchasing council, stated: "Rising energy costs, general price increase pressures in the supply chain and capacity constraints with the wafer market in particular made it difficult to ensure a continuous supply of quality goods and services at competitive prices.
"Analog Devices greatly appreciated the support of key suppliers throughout the year in maintaining an uninterrupted supply of quality goods and services at competitive prices.
"We were extremely fortunate to be partnering with best-in-class suppliers, such as Scott Specialty Gases, which supported us in achieving our goals and who contributed greatly to our success in 2006".
