The new HU15 standard horizontal gel electrophoresis unit from Scie-Plas provides the market's most popular gel tray size of 15x15cm, but with additional casting options for greater versatility
Comb options range from one to 30 samples and four comb slots at 3.5cm intervals provide fast separation of up to 120 samples.
The complete HU15 system consists of the standard horizontal gel unit with a removable casting tray, casting gates, two 1mm thick 16-sample combs, coloured loading strips and buffer recirculation ports.
HU15 casting options are provided by the casting gates with integral silicone seals or 15cm long Scie-Plas Super Seals which enable the gel length to be tailored to particular requirements.
A choice of 30 different combs are available, including multi-channel pipette compatible combs with a maximum 30-sample throughput and preparatory combs for scaling-up nucleic acids for cloning.
As Dick Barker, Scie-Plas chairman, points out: "The HU15 is just one of many new products launched in the latest Scie-Plas catalogue and is complemented by a choice of power supplies and gel documentation systems as well as a full range of accessories and replacement parts.
