Accelerated Technology Laboratories (ATL) wins the contract for implementation of Sample Master Pro laboratory information management system (Lims) at the North Marin Water District, California
The North Marin Water District serves a suburban population of 56,000 people situated in and about the City of Novato which is located in a warm inland coastal valley of Marin County, California and several small improvement districts in the West Marin area near the coast.
The North Marin Water District utilised paper logbooks in various departments supplemented with Microsoft Excel and Word.
However, as the amount of data increased, it became increasingly difficult to manually manage the sample collection sites, multiple results, integration with other enterprise software packages, multiple permit limits and to use multi-variable data in meaningful ways.
The district decided to consolidate and automate data management by implementing a Lims.
Features that the district desired in a Lims included a high degree of set up flexibility with entry screens and reporting, the ability to print bar-coded labels, schedule routine and compliance samples, integrated bar coding, built in export to the California DHS Write-On (electronic data deliverable), and instrument interfacing capabilities.
After evaluating several systems, the district concluded that Sample Master Pro Lims fulfilled all of their requirements and was chosen as their new Lims solution.
In addition to implementation services, ATL will provide instrument integration, bar code/scanner integration, administrator/end-user training and support - providing the North Marin Water District a total data management solution.
ATL says it prides itself on providing affordable, user friendly, state of the art Lims and laboratory automation solutions.
ATL is also a certified Microsoft Solution Provider and ISO 9001:2000 certified, placing a strong emphasis on quality customer service and support.
