Strategic Diagnostics and Broin and Associates have announced the first milestone achievement out of three in their joint development project.
Announced in August 2006, Strategic Diagnostics and Broin and Associates are engaged in a project to develop application(s) based on SDI's patent-pending technology utilising bacteriophage as selective agents.
The application(s) will directly support Broin and Associates's proprietary BPX technologies for ethanol production.
In a joint statement, Mark Stowers, vice president, research and development at Broin and Associates, and Jim Stave, chief technology officer at SDI commented, "We are happy with our progress and recognise that all milestones represent important achievements in a project of this nature.
"We are on our scheduled timeline and proceeding to the next phase of the project."
