Bio-Rad Laboratories was recognised at The Scientist's life science industry awards that were announced in April, winning in three different categories.
Since 2002, The Scientist, in conjunction with BioInformatics, has recognised best in class companies in the life sciences.
This year, Bio-Rad won in the following categories: image analysis systems, instrumentation for protein analysis, and protein separation products.
Bio-Rad also placed in the top three in five additional categories including most responsive customer service, most knowledgeable technical support, high throughput screening and analysis systems, instrumentation for genomic analysis, and most memorable print advertisement.
Bio-Rad is a three-time winner in the areas of image analysis systems and instrumentation for protein analysis and is a two-time winner for the protein separations products.
"It is a great honour to be recognised as best-in-class in these categories by thousands of life science researchers," said Norman Schwartz, Bio-Rad president and chief executive officer.
"This is a reflection of Bio-Rad's commitment to providing our customers with the innovative products they need to help them advance scientific discovery and improve healthcare".
Over 3000 scientists from around the world were independently surveyed by BioInformatics.
The thousands of participating scientists cast their votes for the companies they felt made the greatest contributions to life science technology in the past year.
