Scott Specialty Gases implements a percentage price increase, effective 1 June 2007, for all specialty pure gases and gaseous mixtures as well as cylinder rental
Helium and argon-based mixtures, as well as helium and argon pure gases will be raised by 10%.
Methane-based mixtures and methane pure gases will be raised by 7.5%.
All other specialty pure gases and gas mixtures will be raised by 5%.
In addition, Scott's high-pressure cylinder rental will be increased to $0.32 per day.
Escalating costs of energy and quality raw materials are cited as the drivers behind the increase.
