PerkinElmer has expanded its multi-vendor qualification and validation services for customers in heavily regulated environments
With the addition of multi-vendor service for liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS), customers can have a single point of contact to help ensure that the laboratory's entire LC/MS system is running optimally regardless of manufacturer.
"OneSource has specialised expertise in qualification of a complete, integrated LC/MS system", said Dusty Tenney, president, OneSource Laboratory Services.
"Typically, service providers can conduct only sub-system qualification, which creates a gap in compliance and can impact productivity.
"OneSource meets the customer need of greater uptime and higher data quality across a laboratory's entire LC/MS portfolio".
OneSource consolidates all lab qualification requirements under a single provider to improve equipment uptime and reduce costs.
The latest offerings also include the addition of a strategic consulting partnership with internationally renowned multi-vendor service expert Bob McDowall, along with an expanded validation library to fortify the company's multi-vendor validation capabilities and the addition of more talent with proven validation track records in a regulatory environment.
"PerkinElmer's multi-vendor services are scalable and tailored to meet individual customer requirements, whether the client is a large pharmaceutical organization or a small contract lab", said Tenney.
Tenney noted that PerkinElmer is continually expanding its library of protocols to shorten qualification and validation times for a range of instrumentation and laboratory apparatus.
The protocol library includes the majority of technologies and brands used in today's laboratories.
"Our approach maximises instrumentation uptime and streamlines document control and review processes, improving the productivity of most laboratories", Tenney said.
PerkinElmer has a well-resourced global service organization trained to perform multi-vendor protocols in regulated environments.
Tenney noted that as an alternative to using PerkinElmer's own protocols, OneSource service technicians were able to qualify equipment using customer-supplied documentation.
PerkinElmer centralises the auditing process and provides standardised reporting and documentation.
OneSource engineers conduct timely auditing for operational qualification (OQ) and performance qualification (PQ) and multi-vendor validation.
Tenney noted that PerkinElmer can also manage original equipment manufacturer (OEM) protocols, creating consistent reporting templates to harmonize documentation while streamlining control and review.
