Scorpion Vision has introduced a new range of PixeLINK CCD microscopy cameras
Developed around the Sony progressive scan Interline Transfer (ILT) CCDs, the PixeLINK CCD microscopy cameras offer enhanced levels of responsiveness that is not possible with CMOS sensors for excellent performance in light limited applications.
The high-speed electronic shuttering, low smear and image lag make these cameras ideally suited to capturing crisp images of fast moving objects.
The CCD sensors have created two entirely new product families: the PL-B900 series of machine vision and industrial cameras and the PL-B800 series of microscopy camera kits which come bundled with PixeLINK Capture SE software.
The PL-B900 series of industrial camera are offered in XGA (1/2inch), 1.3MP (1/2inch), 1.3MP (2/3inch) and 2MP (1/2inch) resolutions.
The PL-B800 series of microscopy camera kits are offered in 1.3MP (1/2inch), 1.3MP (2/3inch) and 2MP (1/2inch) resolutions.
As with all PixeLINK products users have the choice of either a FireWire or USB 2.0 interface.
All resolutions are offered in either colour or monochrome and feature 8, 10 and 12-bit output.
Additional functionality can be found in Capture OEM, a free download provided by PixeLINK.
The software simplifies the capability to capture and save AVI movies, set user-defined Region of Interests (ROI), and save descriptors to either the host system or the camera.
