Progen Scientific says it has secured exclusive access to the brand new Labnet Enduro gel systems, including horizontal, vertical, Page, blotter, and 2D electrophoresis gel systems
The Enduro horizontal and vertical gel electrophoresis sets are the latest addition to the Labnet range of competitively priced electrophoresis products.
Convenience and safety were high on the list of the design of the Enduro line.
Some of the features for the horizontal tanks include rubber end gates for tapeless casting, UV transparent gel tanks and trays and easy to replace electrode cassettes.
The unidirectional safety lid fits only one way, ensuring proper connection of the power leads and prevents the flow of power through the cell unless the lid is firmly attached.
Additionally the gel box is moulded, eliminating the possibility of leaks.
The range is available in six models are available; with gels ranging from 7x7cm up to 20x20cm to meet a variety of needs, is available with a wide range of accessories and can be used with the Power Source power supplies.
The vertical tanks feature a modular system based on three operational inserts and a common buffer tank.
All three inserts, Page, electroblotting and 2D electrophoresis have their own electrode assembly that connects into the lid of the buffer tank.
The Page insert can run up to four gels at one and can also accept most pre-cast gels.
The electroblotting insert has a capacity for three gels.
The 2D insert is used for running the first dimension of IEF gels and can accommodate up to ten 8cm gels which are poured in disposable capillary tubes and placed in this insert.
The new Enduro gel systems effectively replace the SubSystems 70 and 150 models previously offered, and these units will remain available for only a short period of time.
