The bioavailable testosterone test is a diagnostic test recommended for male patients in evaluating a condition known as andropause
Warnex reports that its medical laboratories division has signed an agreement with Organon Canada, a biopharmaceutical company in Scarborough, Ontario, to provide bioavailable testosterone testing to customers across Canada.
"We are pleased to collaborate with Organon, a leader in the development of pharmaceutical products", said Mark Busgang, president and CEO of Warnex.
"Warnex uses a unique and very specific method for the detection of bioavailable testosterone.
"This agreement with Organon validates Warnex's strategy to focus on specialised medical testing aimed at niche markets".
The bioavailable testosterone test is a diagnostic test recommended for male patients in evaluating a condition known as andropause.
Andropause is caused by a decrease in hormone with age, which plays a direct role in various physiological changes, including muscle strength, bone density and body composition.
Warnex's test measures the amount of bioavailable testosterone, the biologically active form of testosterone, in human serum.
