Specifically designed for the laboratory, it can be used for applications including picking and placement of plates or tubes, loading and unloading of centrifuges, and other tasks
The Katana is a programmable robotic arm with fully integrated electronics able to operate with high precision in four degrees of freedom as standard.
Available as a stand alone system, on a linear axis or as a mobile robot, Katana is described as uniquely versatile.
Designed specifically for the laboratory environment, Katana can be used for a wide range of applications including picking and placement of plates or tubes, loading and unloading of centrifuges, incubators, readers, washers etc Katana weighs only 2.8kg yet has a payload of 500g.
Its working space extends in an approximate 50cm radius from its centre of rotation.
Direct control of Katana is via a serial interface by a PC, a programmable logic controller (PLC) or mobile robotic interface. Simple and versatile software with incorporate neuronal network tool allows easy programming and fast setup.
