The Gilson Forceless Integrated Tip-ejection (G-fit) system offers a completely new design of pipette tip-holder, providing a firmer, quicker fit for Gilson Diamond Tips while decreasing the force to mount and eject them.
The system brings a clear enhancement in comfort, speed and convenience when pipetting.
The special stepped design of the G-fit tip-holder produces two small contact areas between the tip-holder and the tip, reducing the forces required to fit and eject the tip to an absolute minimum.
The first ridge creates a regular ring-shaped contact area that concentrates the seal force in a very small region, providing efficient air-tightness.
The second ridge works as a guide and a stop to prevent over-insertion of the tip-holder into the tip.
G-fit is unique in its compatibility with most standard traditional conical tips, says Anachem.
G-fit provides instant reliable tip seals with low ejection forces that are particularly beneficial in multichannel pipettes.
Tip fitting is quick and light, making work easier and faster.

The recommendation with G-fit tip-holders is to produce a light vertical force followed by a slight lateral rocky movement to secure the tip fitting.
The G-fit system is compatible with Gilson Diamond tips and most standard tips.
It is currently available on both the 8 and 12 channel 300ul Pipetman Ultra and will soon be available on the 20ul models.
All Pipetman Concept electronic multichannels will have G-fit tip holders as will 5ml and 10ml single channel pipettes.
