Peak Scientific has demonstrated great skill in overcoming the barriers to selling overseas and real initiative in opening up new markets
SCDI has been presenting awards to businesses that show outstanding overseas sales since 1990, and the great performance of Scottish exporters this year meant that the judges had incredibly hard choices to make.
Alan Wilson, SCDI's chief executive said: "A lot has been said and written about the decline of Scottish manufacturing but companies like Peak have shown that Scottish firms can compete on a global scale if they have the right product, the right people and a hunger to succeed.
"It's great to see three Glasgow companies flying the flag for Scotland, and quality Scottish design and engineering around the world.
"The winners all provide highly-skilled and highly-paid employment, which make a really positive contribution to the west of Scotland economy.
"We hope this recognition will help them all to continue to expand and grow over the coming years".
James Campion, international banking services at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) said: "This award category is a particularly important one for us as it highlights our support for Scottish businesses working globally.
"Peak Scientific Instruments export to 69 countries worldwide and their international success has clearly been recognised here.
"We are proud to be associated with these awards and to be a part of this celebration.
"Many congratulations to Peak Scientific Instruments and to all the winners."
