Pro-Lite Technology has reached agreements with two of the global leaders in light measurement to distribute their equipment in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland
With immediate effect, Pro-Lite will now offer sales and support for the Konica Minolta range of illuminance and luminance photometers, tristimulus colorimeters and spectroradiometers as well as the full range of spectrometers from Ocean Optics.
Since its formation in 2002, Pro-Lite has served the lighting, LED and display markets as the distributor for Labsphere's integrating spheres and Spectralon reflectance materials, Radiant Imaging's ProMetric CCD-based imaging photometers and X-Rite / Optronik's goniophotometers.
With the addition of the spectrometer systems from Ocean Optics and light meters from Konica Minolta, Pro-Lite can now claim to be one of the few companies to provide its customers with equipment for almost any application in light metrology and in measuring the optical properties of materials.
Pro-Lite's product portfolio now encompasses instruments which can be used to characterise the total flux, spectrum, intensity, illuminance, luminance, colour as well as the spatial and angular emission of light from lamps, LEDs and displays.
In terms of the optical properties of materials, applications supported include diffuse as well as specular reflectance, transmittance, absorbance, fluorescence and scatter (BRDF).
In addition to its sales and technical support activities, Pro-Lite also provides contract measurement services for those clients with short-term requirements.
Pro-Lite's Robert Yeo commented: "I am delighted that Pro-Lite has been chosen to serve as a distributor for Ocean Optics and Konica Minolta.
"Pro-Lite is blessed with supplier partners whose products are truly world class.
"We look forward to serving our customers with the best light measurement solutions and to continuing to support our clients with the same expert technical and applications advice that has characterised our service to date".
