LabWare Lims v6 is the foundation application of the LabWare system, with architecture enabling completely browser-based deployment, or via a thin client model on the Windows platform
LabWare introduced the next major version of its award winning LabWare Lims product at Pittcon in New Orleans, USA.
Under the flexible LabWare licensing scheme, customers may leverage the v6 application to meet needs across their entire enterprise including everything from comprehensive sample management and automated data acquisition to inventory tracking, environmental monitoring, customer contact management, shelf-life stability study management, clinical protocol set-up and control, biorepository and storage resource management, among many others.
The system is equally well suited to quality control and quality assurance as well as research and development settings and continues LabWare's emphasis on customer configurability, negating the need for complex programming and application customisation.
Hybrid deployments combining multiple architectures are also possible, making LabWare Lims the most flexible Lims in the market from a deployment perspective.
As with each and every prior release version of LabWare Lims, existing customers benefit from a simple and fully automated process to upgrade to the v6 release, with complete preservation of their existing configuration.
The ease and surety of this transition is one reason why LabWare enjoys the highest customer retention rate in the Lims industry; more than 98% of all LabWare Lims installations reportedly still in active service, continuing to retain the enthusiastic support of original customers.
This ease of transition is also a key reason why the virtually all LabWare customers operate the current release version of the LabWare Lims application.
"We believe that LabWare Lims version 6 represents a monumental leap forward in the evolution of our Lims product, and effectively re-defines the boundaries of how a modern Lims can serve the customer.
"With Version 6 we have expanded our solution set into crucial new areas, and have added enormously to the value our customers can receive through their investments in LabWare Lims.
"This major release positions LabWare for significant growth in key markets, and greatly strengthens our value proposition for current customers", said Vance Kershner, LabWare's president and chief executive officer.
