CapIt-All and Fill-It systems are fully automated and together form a 'dynamic duo' for capping and decapping screw cap vials plus the ability to perform bulk reagent dispensing
Capit-All is a compact, bench-top system that automatically decaps and recaps screw cap microvials in SBS footprint racks.
It takes less than ten seconds to remove all 96 caps.
By automating this process, Capit-All reduces the effects of repetitive strain injury (RSI) regularly experienced by users having to remove caps manually.
Plus the great time savings achieved create increased productivity.
Most importantly your sample integrity is maintained as this intelligent system ensures every cap is always returned to its original tube location.
Capit-All is compatible with screw cap vials from Nunc, Matrix, Micronic, Corning, and Greiner.
Each cap is tightened to a pre-determined torque that provides an optimum seal specific to the tube type.
To prevent the cross-threading of excessively tightened caps, units have an incorporated 'anti-binding' feature.
The unit can also be operated when using partially filled racks and can ingeniously discard caps once tubes are removed after the decapping process is complete.
Fill-It is an extended version of Capit-All with the ability to dispense cell suspensions and other bulk reagents into the vials as well as decapping and recapping them.
The automated tube rack transport system ensures easy loading and reliable transport of tubes from the decapping module to the dispensing unit.
Fill-It sterile disposable tube sets are available in either four or eight tube formats and provide the fluid pathway for the dispensing process.
Cells are transferred from the bulk stock to the vials using a peristaltic pump, complete with programmable parameters including dispense volume and speed.
A simple manual priming process is required prior to automated dispensing.
Once the cells or reagent has been dispensed, the tube rack is returned to the CapIt-All unit, where the screw caps are replaced.
