Lauda launches sales company in Venezuela
8 Jul 2008
On 7 March 2008 Lauda opened Lauda America Latina, a sales company for the whole of Latin America in Merida, one of Venezuela's leading cities
This opening was received with enthusiasm by the 20 or more participants in the first Latin American sales conference held in Mexico in the middle of March.
Lauda America Latina will provide support for Lauda's local agencies, working closely with them to provide a further boost to the growth strategy on which the company successfully embarked four years ago.
Lauda America Latina is a Venezuelan limited company and will receive a commission on all sales.
Its general manager is Markus Muller (39), a German citizen and qualified engineer, who has been living in Venezuela since 1999 and working closely with Lauda as its agent since 1 January 2004.
The increase in sales al-ready achieved and further significant potential were the main reasons for founding a subsidiary company to support Lauda's agents.
The company's main tasks will be to train and assist the agencies, to advise end-customers and to seek out further agents in the smaller countries where Lauda still has no representation.
Following the formation of Lauda France in early 2005, Lauda Wostok in Russia in May 2006 and Lauda Singapore in October last year, Lauda America Latina is Lauda's fourth overseas subsidiary.
The intention is that additional on-the-spot support will move sales even further up the steep growth curve which has been achieved to date.
This investment in the Latin American market is a clear commitment to the South American continent and represents yet one more mile-stone in the policy of intensive internationalisation which this rapidly expanding company specialising in temperature control equipment and now employing 250 people launched three years ago.
