AdvantaPure has announced that it will provide closures and stoppers for containers used in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical processing.
Produced from pure platinum-cured silicone that is free of animal-derived ingredients, the closures meet USP Class VI and FDA standards.
AdvantaPure said the products are ideal for pharmaceutical, biotech, biomedical and laboratory environments and assure aseptic fluid transfer, sealing, filling and sampling.
The closures are designed for carboys, flexible container systems, solution and media bottles and other vessels such as True Union and GL45 styles.
Working well with stainless steel, glass and plastic, with multiple ports and silicone tubing inserts, the closures allow easy reconfiguration of existing transfer and sealing systems.
AdvantaPure's closures and stoppers are injection-moulded in a clean room environment and the finished products provide gap-free surfaces for a true seal.
They resist temperatures from -100degF (-73.3degC) to 400degF (204.4degC), as well as cracking, particle migration and attack from a variety of chemicals.
They are sterilisable by autoclave or gamma radiation.
