Malvern Instruments and Aimil have embarked on a joint venture company entitled Malvern Aimil Instruments Pvt Ltd.
The company become operational on 1 May 2008.
It is headquartered in Mumbai, but staff operate from eight offices across India, including the two particle size centres of excellence in Bangalore and Baroda.
Paul Walker, managing director of Malvern Instruments, said: 'India is now one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing markets in the world and Indian companies are significant global players in many industries.
'Together Malvern Instruments and Aimil have built a strong reputation for the supply and support of systems for particle characterisation, rheological measurement and chemical imaging to a wide range of sectors.'
