Hydramotion has released a flow-through measurement cell designed exclusively for use with its Viscolite VL700HP-T15 small-sample viscometer.
The cell offers a solution for applications requiring continuous viscosity measurement in the laboratory.
The unit is suited to bench-top fluid-flow assemblies incorporating a peristaltic pump, such as continuous-flow analysers.
The inlet and outlet ports are typically threaded for use with standard nylon or polypropylene fluid connectors, but any other type can be specified.
Alternatively the cell can be supplied with integral luer, barbed or threaded inlet/outlet connectors.
With the viscometer in place the volume of the cell is approximately 10 ml.
The cell is available in 316 stainless steel (standard) or other materials, such as special alloys or PTFE, depending on the fluids to be measured.
The cell can be completely disassembled if necessary.
The Viscolite VL700HP-T15 viscometer combines ease of use, reliability and minimal maintenance with the added advantages of a 4-20 mA analogue viscosity output and an RS232 serial data link for connection to a PC in the laboratory.
With a temperature range of - 20 to +120 degC, the VL700HP-T15 has high sensitivity and repeatability, even at low viscosity.
An integrated temperature probe and temperature-correction software enables measurements to be taken without having to control the temperature of the sample.
Rugged construction and the absence of moving parts means the viscometer can be cleaned in place.
The VL700HP-T15 is factory-calibrated and needs no accessories, making it ready for immediate use without requiring adjustment or recalibration by the user.
