Dickson has brought out the Dickson Alarm Thermometer, which ensures the quality of reagents and other temperature-sensitive experimental materials stored in refrigerators and freezers.
Costing $59 (?31.4) for a two probe model (MM125) that can monitor both refrigerators and freezers simultaneously and $49 (?26.1) for a single probe model (MM120), the Dickson Alarm Thermometer has several features that make it an easy-to-use, cost-effective instrument, including: a visual-display alarm that remains on even if temperatures are no longer out of range; alarm controls on the back of the unit, making it tamper-resistant once mounted on the outside of the refrigerator; propylene glycol bottles for stable temperature readings; a large LCD display of current temperatures, min/max temperatures, alarm conditions and battery levels and an automatic scrolling display of refrigerator and freezer conditions every five seconds.
Both the MM125 and MM120 models are continuous, calibrated and certified thermometers able to monitor temperatures between -50C and 70C (between -58F and 158F).
