Smart Solutions for HCAI has announced a series of NHS roadshows designed to introduce businesses to its programme and enable them to apply.
The Smart Solutions programme aims to discover technologies that could help prevent the spread of MRSA or other hospital bugs and invites businesses to have their product assessed for use within the NHS.
The events take place as follows: 3 September 2008 at Biopark, Welwyn Garden City; 4 September 2008 at Brooklands hotel, junction 37 off the M1, near Barnsley, and 18 September 2008 at Liverpool Innovation Park.
Bryan Griffiths, project director, said: 'The Smart Solutions project is seeking new ways to combat HCAIs and is open to ideas from individuals or businesses in the laboratory equipment and other industry sectors.
'It is likely that there are some existing products or technologies which would be effective in preventing the spread of infection but which have not yet been used in a healthcare setting.'
