Phidgets has made the 1051 temperature sensor more accurate and reliable by adding on-board filtering, cold junction compensation and optimised calibration methods.
The latest version of the 1051 temperature sensor features: a temperature update rate of approximately 30Hz; 0.25C ambient resolution; 0.05C thermocouple resolution; thermocouple accuracy of 2C (K-type); a (potential) 2mV thermocouple resolution; 100mA USB-power current specification; 25mA device quiescent current consumption; and a 25mA device active current consumption.
Phidgets is a plug-and-play system.
The user decides which operating system and which computer language to use.
Phidgets can be programmed with an application programming interfade (API) supported by Windows (2000, XP, Vista), Windows CE, Mac OS X and Linux.
Users can write programs in Visual Basic, VB.Net, C#, C/C++, Flash/Flex, Java, Labview, Matlab, Actionscript 3.0 and Cocoa.
Phidgets provides examples for all its products to help users write their own programs.
