Corning will present 20 free product grant awards ranging from USD2000 to a first prize of USD25000.
Entries will be judged by distinguished scientists, including Min Li PhD, professor of neurosciences at Johns Hopkins University; Stephen Benkovic PhD, professor of chemistry at Penn State University; Joydeep Lahiri PhD, research director at Corning; and Ye Fang PhD, senior research scientist at Corning.
The closing date for 'Mission: Possible' applications is 30 April 2009 and winners will be announced on 30 June.
The research must focus on one of the following fields: cellular neurobiology; immunology; adult, embryonic or induced pluripotent stem cells; primary cells; cancer cells; or cellular mechanisms of disease.
