The Olympus AU680 clinical chemistry analyser has been awarded a Japanese Good Design Award in the Society/Medical and Welfare Equipment and Facilities category.
The Good Design Awards act as Japan's design evaluation and commendation system, largely focusing on industrial products but also including products from a wide variety of fields such as architecture, the environment and communication.
The Awards are judged from the direct perspective of the people who would use the products and services under consideration.
The Good Design Awards judges selected the Olympus AU680 from more than 3,000 entries as an excellent template for the design of future analysers to help medium to high throughput laboratories meet ever increasing pressures on time and productivity.
In addition to its modern looks and easy to use graphical user interface, the analyser is designed to enable easy reagent handling and single-handed operation.
