Jenway's Performance pH electrodes reduce analysis time through rapid equilibration and increase the reproducibility of results following exposure to extremes of pH and temperature.
The Performance pH electrodes are available in a 12mm general purpose model or a 4.5mm semi-micro model with 90mm reach for small volume samples.
They contain inbuilt Platinum Plus reference systems.
The electrodes are designed for laboratories measuring general solutions and biological samples containing Tris buffers.
Carl Warren, general manager of Jenway, said: 'Equilibration time is relatively unaffected by changing temperatures, such as might be encountered in field applications.
'Similarly, faster response times in pH buffers allow for rapid calibration.
'With long-term drift significantly lowered, users of these new Jenway products can have greater confidence in their results, while analysis time is reduced.' The general purpose model is recommended for applications in industries such as chemical production, environmental monitoring, food processing and drug manufacturing.
The semi-micro electrode is ideal for measuring small volumes, typically <500ul, commonly required in biochemistry laboratories.
