The Association for Laboratory Automation (ALA) has released the results of the 2008 State of Industrial Laboratory Automation on Labautopedia.
ALA recently conducted a survey of laboratory automation system providers and industrial users, as a detailed follow-up to its 2006 survey on the state of industrial laboratory automation.
In many cases, similar questions were posed to compare the focus and priorities of automation users versus providers.
The results are being presented on ALA's online knowledge network, Labautopedia.
A detailed article with editorial commentary from both the vendor and user community will be published later in 2009 in the association's scientific peer-reviewed publication, Journal for the Association for Laboratory Automation (JALA).
