An Mcerts 2009 presentation will describe how the Mcerts section relating to performance and testing of continuous emission monitors (CEMs) has been incorporated into a European standard, EN 15267-3.
Mcerts is the monitoring certification scheme of the Environment Agency of England and Wales.
The development of EN 15267-3 will unify performance levels, testing and certification for CEMs internationally.
In 2000, the Environment Agency and the German Federal Environment Agency worked together to align their respective schemes.
The aligned schemes created the foundation for EN 15267-3.
Rick Gould will make the presentation at the Mcerts conference, which will provide the latest guidance on issues relating to legislation and monitoring standards.
The conference takes place on 29 and 30 April, near Burton on Trent.
A range of workshops will deliver practical help and advice on issues relating to the monitoring of emissions.
